My interest in photography took root at the age of ten when I received a Kodak 110 Instamatic camera on a family road trip to Niagara Falls and it has continued to this day. What started with a rectangular 110 camera and a couple of rotating flash cubes, continued and developed through the years with print film, slide film and now a combination of slide and digital images.
My main subject of interest is the countryside and its various landscapes. I am also an avid student of history and enjoy finding out about the history of the region I am exploring.
The best part of photography is rising before the sun and heading out to a spot scouted and studied earlier. Upon arriving the camera and tripod are set up in the quiet of the pre-dawn hours and then I just sit back and watch the morning unfold before me, seemingly as if it were being done all for me. Over the couple of hours that follow, I try to capture some of what God's creation bestows.
I also enjoy still life imagery where a unique quality of light is displayed. Sometimes the light presents itself and I happen to stumble upon it and others time it is carefully planned and crafted.
Again, I hope you enjoy my collection of photographs and I would love to hear from you on them.
Be sure to check back often as I will be updating the site as photographs are taken.
